The association eFuelsNow e.V. is a group of engineers from Germany who are deeply committed to the topic of synthetic fuels out of intrinsic conviction. The engineers have professional experience in the automotive sector and are closely networked with universities and scientists.

The eFuelsNow initiative was launched in 2019 as part of the national implementation of the European Renewable Energy Directive (RED), after the German Federal Ministry for the Environment blocked the inclusion of EN15940 in the Federal Immission Control Ordinance (despite exclusively positive recommendations from experts). The eFuelsNow group members have been using alternative fuels for many years and, as engineers, feel obligated to raise awareness in this area. They are available as points of contact and provide information based on recognized scientific sources via social networks such as LinkedIn and Facebook. The goal is to make the core messages and background information accessible to a broad audience in an easily understandable way. Furthermore, current scientific and technical findings are published.

The engineers at eFuelsNow have a large fleet of vehicles that have been running on reFuels for several years. Some members have already driven hundreds of thousands of kilometers using fuels such as HVO100. These vehicles include both new and old models, with and without manufacturer approval. Engine analyses, travel documentation (e.g., using HVO), and a fuel station map can be found on the official website and in this app.
